An original Christmas box...with a little village on the lid!!

ntil a few days ago here in Italy seemed almost spring, now is really cold, Christmas is in the air... 
These are really funny and original Christmas gifts, sure to be treasured! Hand painted wooden boxes with an entire village in miniature hand made on the lid!

I made it by hand with modelling clay, I painted and decorated the village with snow and glitter, is full of details.

It has been so funny creating these little houses, trees and decorate them for Christmas! 

I made three different boxes:

They can be given away with a note inside, some candy or chocolates, they can be can used to decorate your home or as a centerpiece.

My garden of miniatures...

 want to show you my little secret, romantic garden of miniatures!

I love dollhouse miniatures and I wanted to create some for a mini garden.

The first is this vase with pink roses, I modeled the roses with lot of love, petal by petal, I used a terracotta pot as base and I left it natural.

This is a miniature of my bonsai, it is the studio where I paint so I see it every day.

The last vase is with red poppies, I painted a terracotta pot to give it a shabby color, perfect to give a country touch!

I painted a terracotta fountain with a lion head to give it an antique look and I modeled some little white roses and leaves to decorate it.

My elephant cake topper!

his sweet and adorable couple of elephants, so in love!!

They are perfect for your wedding cake topper.

They are quite tall, 4,13" (10,5 cm) but they are light, I used a very light clay for them.

Elephant bride is wearing a cute and precious lace skirt with beads, I found this very nace lace and I thought it was perfect for her!

Her head is adorned with pink flowers and white leaves and she has a bridal veil and crystals.

Elephant groom is wearing a tie and bowler hat.

Note that they have tails adorned with bows!

Hand made room box for 2 lovely, little bears!

his is a wood box that I have I turned into this lovely room for two little bears,a boy and a girl, as you can see it's very rich of details hand made with great love and care, from modelling clay. It is a work that requires patience and attention but I had lot of fun doing this!

It's a prefect gift for a newborn baby, it can be hung on the wall( has two little hooks) in a nursery or in a child room, or put on display on a shelf, on a nightstand or a dresser...To give a touch of sweetness to a child's room, for a boy or a girl!
